MFS Engineers & Surveyors was contracted by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to provide Design/Build services in support of renovation work required to upgrade the site security at the South Bronx Job Corps Center. The project included enhancing security for the center overall by constructing a new security entrance in the school building, upgrading the perimeter fencing, providing controlled access at all entry and exit points on site, and providing a new handicapped accessible outdoor lift.

MFS managed the project from the initial design concept to the construction’s completion and handled all contract administration, cost management, and risks, additionally providing inspection and reports of work in progress during the entire process.

During the construction phases of the project, MFS took ownership of all project management, construction, quality, and scheduling.
