Survey Project Manager

Overview

Seeking a Project Manager for our Survey Department. This position reports directly to the Principal Land Surveyor. The successful candidate will have a proven record in a project-based, schedule-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates multiple survey projects involving various survey tasks including estimating and proposal preparation.

• Requires broad based knowledge of all phases of land surveying including boundary analysis, topography Survey Control networks and GPS.

• Responsible for all aspects of the survey process including technical aspects, staff management, and staff scheduling.

• Ability to provide supervision and guidance to field crews and office staff and communicate with client representatives and internal engineering project managers.

• Familiarity with business operations such as preparing billing reports and invoicing.

• Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety and quality assurance procedures, and the final QC of all survey documents.

As a Survey PM, you will occasionally visit project sites. MFS Consulting Engineers & Surveyor, DPC. provides survey services in NJ, NY, and PA.

Experience

• New York Professional Surveyors License preferred, but not required.

• Minimum of 7 years of diverse experience in land surveying, which includes meeting with clients, budget, and schedule management and coordinating field staff.

• Experience with NYC agencies and survey in the city preferred.

• Must be highly professionally motivated to a high-quality deliverable and possess broad-based knowledge of boundary, topographic, control and construction survey practices.

• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson and Leica LGO/Infinity, Leica robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

• The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferences

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree preferred, but not required.

• Experience with MicroStation preferred, but not required.

• Experience with Carlson Survey software preferred, but not required.
