Project Details

The project involved the evaluation and upgrading of fire protection and related systems across several buildings, specifically Buildings 111, 255, 260, 263, and 301. The primary focus is the replacement of outdated sprinkler systems, including the heads, branch piping, and associated components, alongside necessary structural and architectural modifications to support these upgrades. The project also addressed compliance with modern safety standards, including seismic bracing, environmental abatement, and flood resilience measures.

MFS conducted a detailed structural analysis based on the new sprinkler system layout. This analysis verified that the existing structures could accommodate the increased loads, such as the increased utility load.

For Buildings 211, 255, 260, 263, and 301, the existing structural framework was surveyed, which required an aerial lift. The structural survey assessed that the condition of the current structures and informed any necessary reinforcements or modifications required to accommodate the new systems.
