Gerard Gouldson

Photogrammetry Manager
Gerard Gouldson is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist and Virginia licensed Surveyor Photogrammetrist at MFS Engineers & Surveyors, specializing in aerial mapping, photogrammetry, and geospatial data processing.
Mr. Gouldson leads the technical planning and execution of aerial mapping projects, including proposal development, cost estimation, flight plan design, and field control coordination. He collaborates closely with clients and the MFS Survey Department to manage aerial acquisition, field control, scheduling, and compliance with project‑specific CADD standards.
He oversees all phases of photogrammetric production, such as aerotriangulation, stereo compilation, LiDAR classification, orthophoto generation, technician oversight, and sUAS flight operations, and conducts comprehensive QA/QC reviews to ensure all deliverables meet required mapping accuracies.
With more than 38 years of direct experience, he brings extensive expertise across transportation, environmental, and GIS projects. He is proficient in major geospatial and mapping platforms, including MicroStation, Bentley InRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, KLT Atlas, Global Mapper, TrackAir Flight Management System, and Photoshop.
