Principal Engineer
Paul B. Shim, PE, LEED AP is a Principal Engineer at MFS Engineers & Surveyors and a seasoned Site-Structural Engineer with more than 15 years of experience supporting complex public- and private-sector projects.
Throughout his career, Mr. Shim has worked extensively with federal, state, and local agencies, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Department of the Interior (DOI), the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), and various Departments of Transportation and New Jersey and New York State/City agencies, as well as private entities. His expertise includes site planning and development, structural analysis and modeling of temporary and permanent structures, site and building construction, foundation design and construction, site-utility and structural investigations, and building assessments. By integrating structural engineering principles with site development requirements, Mr. Shim delivers safe, efficient, and constructable solutions. He currently oversees MFS' Site-Civil and Structural Departments, providing technical leadership, oversight, and strategic direction.
