MFS Engineers & Surveyors currently has an opening for an experienced Survey Crew Chief. Our offices are located in South Plainfield and Newfoundland, NJ. Our projects are located primarily throughout the NY/NJ Metropolitan area.

Salary Range: $45-$50/hr

Responsibilities

• Run and supervise a one or two man field crew. 
• Prepare field notes, sketches and photos. 
• Collect and code data for topographic, utility, structural monitoring, boundary, wetlands, other types of surveys. 
• Utilize robotic total stations, optical/digital levels, and GPS. 
• Perform daily downloads of data collector files & complete daily field logs. 
• Adhere to company protocols for maintenance and upkeep of survey equipment and vehicles. 
• Interface and report to MFS' Principal Land Surveyor or project managers as assigned to a project. 

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Party Chief 
• Experience with Leica robotic total stations, favorable
• Wide range of experience in topographic/boundary survey. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, favorable
• Laser Scanning Experience, favorable 
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record 
• Must be willing to travel within NJ and adjoining states 
• Company Background Check
