MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided professional geotechnical engineering services in support of H2M architects + engineers for the DASNY Staten Island Developmental Disabilities Service Office Facility Pavement Rehabilitation project in Staten Island, New York. The project intent was to rehabilitate the existing pavement at the project site.

MFS coordinated with our trusted subcontractors and subconsultants to complete 45 full-depth pavement cores and 10 in-situ California Bearing Ratio tests along within the streets of the facility. At each of the locations where a CBR test was conducted, MFS collected soil samples from the pavement subgrade and classified the soil in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System.

Upon completion of the field investigation and testing, MFS performed a pavement design in accordance with the New York City Department of Design and Construction. MFS provided a report summarizing the field investigation performed and the analysis and flexible pavement design for use on the project.
