MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided services in support of two circuits for Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) that connect several substations in Central New Jersey via an underground circuit: an approximately 6,500 ft trenchless crossing beneath the Newark Bay.
MFS was contracted by PSE&G from the feasibility phase of the project through the completion of the trenchless horizontal directional drilling (HDD) construction. MFS prepared a feasibility study and corresponding report based upon a review of available information and evaluations of each of the proposed crossing properties. In addition, MFS aided in the selection of the properties to be used to complete the crossing and prepared construction cost estimates.
