MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided professional land surveying services for the New York Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC), HWM1689, G24670-FDR Median Reconstruction project located in Manhattan, New York.
MFS’s survey team prepared highway and sewer profiles, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D format along with Carlson support files for 3D alignments and external database files for profiles. The highway profiles included details of the legal grades, existing surface, curbs, median barriers, and roadway frontage building first floor elevations.
MFS’s survey team drafted sewer profiles, incorporating legal grades, existing surface conditions, sewer vertical alignments, pipe sizes, and record inverts from DEP GIS data, alongside surveyed sewer rim elevations. For the utility plan drafting, the survey team created detailed site utility mapping in plain view, using a "best fit" methodology to incorporate surface utility hardware such as manholes, valves, inlets, pull boxes, vaults, hydrants, and other critical infrastructure for sewer, gas, water, electric, telephone, and steam utilities.
