MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided a structural evaluation and assessment of the Old Administration Building (Bldg. 2) at Eastern Correctional Facility under NYSOGS Contract #SE211. The scope of work included a comprehensive site visit to visually observe and document the structural conditions of the interior framing components within Bldg. 2. This evaluation was conducted in response to prior inspections that identified cracks in the concrete floor on the 3rd-floor level and slab settlement in the basement.
During the site visit, MFS conducted a visual assessment of Bldg. 2, documenting any cracking or deterioration observed within accessible areas. The investigation included extensive photo documentation to support findings and facilitate analysis.
Following the site visit, MFS compiled a Structural Evaluation Report outlining the observations made during the field investigation. The report included a detailed assessment of Bldg. 2’s structural integrity, supported by photographic documentation. Based on the findings, MFS provided recommendations for rehabilitation, including repairs to mitigate the observed structural deficiencies.
