MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided Geotechnical Engineering services for the Starlight Park-Phase II Project located in The Bronx. The project was part of the Bronx River Greenway/Starlight Park Project, which is a project that created a continuous greenway trail and system of new city parks along the Bronx River accessible to thousands of Bronx residents and visitors.

The project created a continuous greenway trail and system of new City parks along the Bronx River accessible to thousands of Bronx residents and visitors. MFS Engineers & Surveyors Geotechnical Engineering Team provided special inspections during subsurface investigations and supporting the custom design of several different landscape areas, each of which presented unique engineering and environmental challenges, including wetlands and mud flats.

MFS coordinated with the Engineer of Record and drilling agency to conduct a subsurface investigation consisting of eight borings to varying depths across the project site. The borings were conducted at various locations throughout the project site in order to identify the depth of the rock as well as to classify all overburden soils and rock encountered.
